How to Change your Router's Web Admin Password from SputnikNet

To enhance the security of your Wi-Fi routers, Sputnik-Powered firmware (available from our download site at http://www.sputnik.com/support/download/) requires a password change upon setup.

However for customers running stock DD-WRT firmware, or who are concerned about the security of Wi-Fi routers in the field, here's how to change your router's web admin password from the cloud, using SputnikNet.

Select the router whose password you want to change.

Select_the_router_whose_password_you_want_to_change._display

Log into SputnikNet.

Click on MANAGE / Routers.

Select the router whose password you want to change.

Click on the Settings tab.

Under Administration, enter the new admin password.

Save settings.

Save_settings._display

Click on Save Settings.

The new router will now require you to log in with username "root" and your new password.

Be sure to write your password down or save it in a safe place.
